Focus on Habits, it will be life changing




It's been engrained in my psyche for as long as I can remember that striving for excellence should be the default modus operandi for us humans. Is this hard-wired, conditioned over time, maybe some combination?


Continuous improvement - each day, each week, each year - it's all I've ever known, as a child and as an adult.


I speak and coach often on the importance of fundamentals. And, getting back to basics in most situations - personally and professionally - tends to pay off in spades.


These next three weeks will be focused on habits. Good habits. Great habits. Bad habits. And all of the opinions and research that comes with trying to make ourselves better.


Next week we'll focus on forming new habits and breaking bad habits. Perfect timing with looking ahead to 2023 planning. And the week following, we'll connect the dots on how goal setting and time prioritization, not just time management, can help us choose which habit(s) are the most critical to form or break with our own goals and journey.

Many of us no only want to be the best possible version of ourselves each and every day, but we want, and maybe even expect, those around us to strive for this as well. When we are our best selves in all faucets of our lives, including at work, amazing and wonderous things unfold.

List 1 - 3 things you'd love to become habitual about.


And, the opposite, list 1 - 3 habits you'd really like to break.


Also consider reflecting on the end goals (near or long-term future) if you are successful in forming new habits or breaking bad ones.
