Making Commitments to Ourselves & Others

This week, here in our house, it's time for a staycation. I know, don't be jealous. After months and months of...just staying at home...we have big plans...we are just staying home!


All my sarcasm aside, I am going to try and enjoy the time off, even though I do truly love to work. I know hitting the reset button can be important too.


Staycation might mean cleaning out the garage (let's hope not!), going on a kayaking adventure, getting ice cream every night, and many other possibilities, even with our cautiousness and diligence around keeping our family healthy during a global pandemic.


In December of 2019, I wrote a short blog about commitments and encouraged readers to use the "down" time before the New Year to really pause and reflect and set goals for 2020.


Well, 2020 has had a mind of it's own, to say the least. Maybe this week, during staycation, I'll reflect on my own 2020 goals and commitments. I'll have a lot of time to think and evaluate.


Can I honestly determine if any need adjustment - both professionally and personally. Can I keep commitments I've made to myself and others with so many unexpected restrictions in place? Can I navigate the rest of 2020 and be sure of the path I am choosing to create?
