Within the last week, I've learned that two of my informal mentors have retired. Both offered mentorship and guidance more than a decade ago; when I was a single Mom trying hard to catapult my career forward. At that time in my life, I might not have known what I needed, but I knew I needed guidance and support.
I'm often surprised to hear sales professionals who clearly say they want to be successful (however they define success) also tell me they've never had a formal or informal mentor.
As we wrap up 2020 and turn our attention to 2021; now might be a good time to reflect on what great mentor relationships can do for our careers. Check out this blog post from 2019 on mentorship.
I even had a wonderful conversation this morning with a potential future mentor for myself.
Never stop growing.
